Shashang Murali
Shashang Murali is a Doctoral Candidate at NOKIA within the 6G-TERRAIN Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network. His PhD research will focus particularly on methods to improve the performance of ICAS in 6G unified 3D networks, maintaining a balanced optimal performance of both communication and sensing functionality. His work will focus on the development of novel as well as improvements to existing mathematical optimisations, and data-driven algorithms that make the network perceptive of its highly dynamic surroundings (presence of non-negligible clutter), consisting of diverse non-terrestrial platforms (e.g., satellite, UAVs, HAPS).
Shashang completed his Master’s Degree in Information and Network Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2024. During his master’s studies, he has done his internship and further continued to do his master’s thesis in the field of signal processing in IoT devices for Industrial machines at IPercept Technology, a start-up company based in Stockholm. In this project, he evaluated the quality of vibration time-series data acquired from sensors and implemented signal processing algorithms to extract machine-relevant features that form machine health indicators. Prior to his master’s, he worked full-time for 2 years in the field of electronics and embedded systems product design for a startup company and Bosch Global Software, based in Bangalore, India.
